Keely was raised on the Gallatin River in beautiful southwestern Montana. Growing up, daycare for Keely and her siblings meant ski school in the winter and playing on the river in the summer. Keely eventually made the U.S. Ski Team and enjoyed an eight-year career ski racing at the highest level on the World Cup Circuit. At age 25 she ended her racing career and went on to study business management at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah. That’s when her business idea hatched and she started Keely's Camp as the first ski racing camp for girls in North America. Keely's Camp has been operating for 12 years now and has expanded from ski racing to include whitewater kayaking, ski mountaineering and backcountry ski camps. Their mission is to empower, inspire, educate and connect the next generation of girls in outdoor sports through female coaches, guides and mentors. She feels like she has the best job in the world getting to work with inspiring women who are mentoring the next generation. When not working camps, you'll find Keely playing in the mountains and on the rivers with her friends, family and Australian Shepherd Olle.

Which of Stio's values personally align to you?

Just as Stio strives to impact positive change for people and planet, I value the same within my community. I strongly feel that the next generation of girls not only needs outdoor female mentors, coaches and guides, but also that they deserve them to grow into the next generation of women who will lead our world. Outdoor experiences are powerful and supporting women and girls in the outdoor space is how we can effect change for them.

How do you create balance in your daily life?

I cannot get any of my work done unless I do something outside every day. I choose to live in Jackson, WY because the access to the outdoors is right out my door. I need this balance to live a healthy and productive life. I'm so lucky to live in a mountain town that supports a work and lifestyle balance.
