ok like I had a BBL. (I definitely needed a BBL to fit into the mediums) I also tightened the shoulder straps as much as I could and realized the pants were just too big. Stio coincidentally restocked one size small so I ordered it, and voila, they fit like a glove. For reference, I am 5’8” 172 lbs, normally a 32x30 athletic fit in pants, and wear a M or L shirt. (depending on the style/fit/company/etc.) I have a stockier build, not a string bean by any means. 36” thighs and about 39"-40” hips. Although the size guide says slightly otherwise, the small fits me perfectly and at their price, you want them to fit you comfortably.
The high-end materials Stio used to make these pants are awesome. Plenty of room to stash your “stuff” in the various pockets. There is a clip inside one of the pockets that you can hook your car keys to – was always nervous about losing my keys on the mtn, not anymore! Love the thick cuff-like material on the bottom of the pants, should help hold up the heavily rippable area around the boot. The front zipper and side zipper are a brilliant addition for ease of using the bathroom and simply getting in and out of the pants. Don’t forget, these are a shell, so I don’t think you would want them in single-digit temps as there is no insulation. (you can always layer up if these will be your only pair of pants) Even on rainy days, the waterproofing/water beading on these pants is top-notch – they are virtually dry when it’s raining.
Overall, would recommend these bibs to anyone – looks really sick when paired with the Figment Jacket. Read Less
