"The Pinion Down Pullover is my favorite piece of gear that I've bought over the last few years. I've owned the jacket for about 3 months now and have worn it almost everyday in November and December. I've taken this jacket to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks for camping trips in the early fall and it keeps me comfortably warm into the 20's when paired with Stio's Fremont Hoodie. With just a t-shirt on underneath, I'm warm into the 30's.
For sizing, I am 6'2", 180 lbs, 42" chest and decided to go with a Medium. I am usually a large but wanted this to fit a little more snug so I can layer another jacket over for those really cold Montana mornings when I'm out shooting photography. If I wanted this just for casual wear around town, I'd have purchased a Large.
One of my favorite features of this pullover is the kangaroo pocket in the front. For starters, the pocket seals perfectly around my wrists when my hands are inside to keep them warm. I can also fit my phone, wallet, and keys inside and have never had an issue with them falling out. If I needed more security, there's a zippered pocket separate to the kangaroo pouch to keep valuables safer. Finally, I love how I can fit a full-sized retractable dog leash inside the kangaroo pocket for when I'm walking my dog off leash so I don't have to hand-carry the leash. The leash doesn't flop around or bother me in any way when inside the kangaroo pocket while walking either.
In all, an amazing jacket that is getting a lot of use now, and hopefully well into the future. I liked mine so much I got both my parents one too."
